As pared-down add-ons go, Open in IE is very, very basic. Without multiple functions or configuration settings, it really only does one thing, but if it's the one thing you need, this add-on is the perfect solution!
Open in IE does exactly what you might expect - it allows you to open links in Internet Explorer when you are using Firefox. Like many people, I love Firefox and the thought of using IE makes me break out in a cold sweat. So why would any Firefox fan want to go back to the dreaded Microsoft browser? Well, there are some things that just work better in IE, much as it pains me to say it. One good example of this is downloading Firefox add-ons without actually adding them.
Once you've added Open in IE, you'll only notice one single difference - the option "Open Link in IE" will appear in the context menu when you right-click on a link. That's it! Simple, right? Open in IE isn't going to rock everyone's world, but it could be just the thing for you. In fact, it's one application that I haven't actually gotten rid of after testing!
Open in IE won't be everyone's cup of tea, but if it solves a problem you've been having, it's perfect!
